Position Overview
The Veterinary Technician will assist veterinarians with medical procedures, patient care, and client communication. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, and has a passion for animal health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed
- Perform radiographs and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Educate pet owners on preventative care, medications, and post-treatment instructions
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of treatment and exam areas
Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician certification/license preferred (CVT/LVT) or equivalent experience
- Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of veterinary procedures
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
- Compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented
