July 2020

It has been quite the whirlwind first year and a half since we took over Milton Veterinary Clinic in January 2019!  We have been blessed by the kindness and support received from our clients and the community.  We understand that it has been a major transition to have new doctors and staff caring for your pets and we have enjoyed getting to know everyone.

We came into 2020 with fresh ideas and were excited to make some upgrades to improve the client and patient experience.  We, like the rest of the world, have been taken aback by the COVID-19 pandemic. The side effects of this pandemic have been numerous in our society.  In veterinary medicine, there has been an unprecedented surge in demand as more people are home spending time with their pets and adding new pets to their families.  This, combined with the reduced efficiency of curbside service and decreased staffing due to quarantining and childcare dilemmas, has made it difficult to always serve everyone in a timely manner.  We ask for your patience during this time.  To improve communication, we have upgraded our phone system to allow more calls to be answered and we now have text messaging options. We have also added additional support staff to accommodate the increased caseload we have seen over these past several months.

It has been a challenging time for all and we are grateful for the patience and understanding of our clients as we have transitioned to curbside service.  As we are not allowing clients in the building, we know you are putting a lot of trust in us at each visit.   While we don’t know how long this “new” normal will last, we will continue to look for ways to improve the experience of you and your pet.
